I applied for a job and they told me I wasn't hired, but the position is still open?

Is it the same posting? Anyways, they may not have felt that you were the right fit and just lied to you to avoid conflict (especially if she texted you, which is extremely unprofessional and sounds like she was avoiding talking to you directly). Maybe call them and tell the manager that you saw that the position was still open and would like to know why you weren't considered. That way, you can have a reference for improvement. Don't get too stressed out. In the long wrong, maybe that isn't the company for you, since they can't even take the time to write a letter or call you back. You probably wouldn't want to work for a company like that anyways!
