Will Verizon let me upgrade early if I have had a ton of problems with my droid?

I have an HTC droid incredible...er...unincredable. It freezes, shuts down, sends 30 copies of a text message...well, it doesnt work. it is the 3rd one they have sent me. I am now running it with no applications. no memory card. only synced to my gmail and facebook. still sucks. Do you think there is any chance Verizon would let me upgrade early, like a year early? If at&t wasnt so bad in this area, i would cancel my contract and go there...it would be cheaper than buying a new phone outright.
