Kingdom Hearts 1 question! Please help!?

I just got to the part where Aladdin told me to go find Jasmine. I know I wont find her and the other princesses till later in the game. I have no idea what to do know or where to go. I can't do anything in Wonderland because I cant get to Alice. I also beat Deep Jungle. I unlocked the doors in Deep Jungle and in Travers Town. (I think that was it) I also can't do anything in Olympus. One other thing, I was told to go give something to Merlin but when I go there to give it to him he says the same thing. 'Practice Magic or go to Caverns' and I cant do anything in the Caverns either. Please help me!
